Reading

We will be developing skills in inference and prediction, sequencing and summarizing as well as consolidating other skills as well as learning a poem off by heart.    

Writing

We will be writing to describe and inform as well as writing poetry     . Phonics will take place for some groups and all pupils will have daily writing time to build sentence and writing skills.

Maths

We will be developing our learning in number and place value followed by addition and subtraction.    

Science

We will be      learning about what different animals need to survive followed by humans. We will also be following a scientific enquiry.    

Geography/ History

In History we will be finding out how we learned to fly.    

Art/DT

In Art we will be creating maps using a range of techniques and media.  

Music

We will be using instruments to represent animals, copying rhythms and creating call and response rhythms.    

PHSE

We will be thinking about being me in my world as well as our value of resilience     . We will also continue to look at different articles for Rights Respecting Schools.

Computing

This term we will be learning how to be safe online and learn all about the Information Technology around us.      

RE

We will be learning about God and Faith across religions through the lens of ways of knowing.    

PE

This half term we will be developing  skills in foot work and one leg balances. We will also be learning different ways of travelling in gymnastics.
